How can people kill animals for the sheer thrill of it?
filed in Xdela Community on Jun.03, 2010
Are these people psychotic? People who kill people for the thrill of it go to gaol, and so should people who kill animals for the sheer thrill of it. There’s no difference, animals have just as much right to live as we do.
It makes me absolutely sick, and something needs to be done about it. People should not be allowed to do this under any circumstance.

I don’t know how people do it. The only time I would ever kill an animal is if I have to eat it to survive.

I guess some people just don’t see animals like we do. They see them as just that: animals. They don’t think they have feelings or belong they just see them as something to kill for the sheer thrill.

I think they do it with a weapon of some sort….like a gun or something…..by the way…what is gaol? Are you trying to say jail?…cuz that doesn’t fly on here…

You are absolutely right. People who kill animals to get a thrill are sick and probably likely to kill humans as well, they’re called sociopaths. As for the ones who hunt down animals, they might not be sociopaths but they do have a lack of respect for life. Some people believe that animals are lesser than us either my ignorance or because they believe the biblical "animals are here to serve us." To those I simply say… whatever. We are not so different. And not only animals, but plants also, deserve the chance to survive because 1 they were here first and 2 a life is a life whether plant, animal, or the bigger animal "human".

The flies/spiders/cockroaches you hit are also alive does this make you psychotic or a hypocrite?

You are absolutely right. No other animal on earth kills for pleasure but only to defend itself or for food to survive.
Humans have not always been this way, our far away ancestors respected animals and thought of them as their equals.Still today primitive Tribes ask forgiveness of the animal they kill for food and the big tree they cut down. It seems that the so-called uncivilized have more respect for life and our OH – so refined Society. Most people have lost the feeling that binds you to other living entities and have become all-devouring, cruel, egotistic monsters.
My grandma used to say: Whoever does not love animals is not capable of loving humans. (Meaning that the latter are much harder to love).
I personally have two doggies and in my backyard I feed some 6 to 8 stray cats. With a friend of mine who has a very big plot of land,we have gathered the stray dogs in the village and keep them there with food and water. A barack has been built by a friendly carpenter and they are save from the cold and from the murderers in the village who lay out poisoned food . We have found over the years so many dead animals that we decided to do this. We have some help from kids and thus we can keep this going.

They are plainly sick in the mind. Such ones forgot that animals and humans are all part of the food chain, part of this universe. By destroying the earth and the animals, we humans are inflicting injury to ourselves.

Most people on this planet are dumb animals.
People seem to enjoy feelings of power and aggression. While some people hunt and fish for the necessity of eating, others hunt only to destroy and enjoy the feelings of power. Now, I am not a pacifist. I wrestled in high school, and did karate in college. I enjoyed the feeling of power that comes from learing and victory. (my first pin- YAY) But the difference is you dont really get hurt in a wrestling or karate match, and the participants are typically intelligent consenting people, both aware of the risks. Some people like to have power – destructive power, over other creatues. Hunting to eat I can understand, but simply to kill ? Kind a sad.

Killing animals for fun is something violent. People who do that do not respect animals and nature. Now he who mistreats nature is abusing himself because we are linked to nature. We are a part. We are allowed to kill animals just to eat them. Killing animals or humans should not be fun. But some people like it …
According to the Bible, the first hunter of animals was Nimrod. It was the first to become a hero or powerful, not only as a hunter of animals, but also as a warrior, or aggressive man.
The work of J. Cyclopædia M’Clintock and J. Strong remarked: "Its as powerful hunter was not only the continuation of game it is what emerges from his close relationship with the construction of eight cities . Nimrod said that continuing the game as a hunter was only preliminary to what he realized as a conqueror. Indeed, hunting and heroism were particularly since very long and naturally associated. The Assyrian monuments are also many hunting exploits, and the word is often used of military campaigns. The pursuit of game and battle, which in the same country were so closely bound by the result could therefore be almost similar or related here. The meaning would be that Nimrod was the first to establish a kingdom after the flood, to unite the fragments of a patriarchal system broke, and consolidate them under his rule as the sole leader and master, and all this causing Yahveh because it was a violent intrusion of power into a Hamitic Semitic territory. "There is a connection between killing animals for fun and kill people or take their land:" power. " When he kills the man feels powerful because it can take the life of a soul. It is better to respect life, it is less than or equal to us because we are mortal like the animals and equal before death.

You are supposed to be asking the question only, and not telling us what you think should be done to us sporting types who enjoy our hunting and fishing. If you just want to sit on your end watching television 24+7 then that is your choice and your welcome to it.

When a man destroys the work of man, we call him a vandal… but when he destroys the work of GOD, we call him a sportsman.

You are really retarded, I would honestly love to see you try and take my hunting rights away from me and other avid hunters alike.. I dare you…
And also, in case you haven’t noticed, if it wasn’t for hunting and gathering wayyy back in time, you wouldn’t even be here, so quit being stupid & go back the pathetic city life, don’t criticize something unless you know or understand what you are talking about..
