Where are some different places to get a tattoo on your body?

I want to get a tattoo but I don’t want one where everyone else has theirs (arm, shoulder, back, ankle ect.) Where is a different place on the body that you never see tattoo on excluding the obvious private places.

I’ve seen everything tattooed…. lips, eyelids, butt cracks (yes, fully tattooed, all the way to the "brown eye", and it isnt that uncommon), labias, nipples, ears, the list goes on. There really isn’t anywhere that you could get a tattoo and be 100% original, sorry to break it to you. If it is doable, it has been done.
My suggestion to you, would to be pick a place that flows with the design you choose and don’t worry about trying to be original with the location.
**To Gothgirl above me… the bottom of the foot does not hold ink. The tattoo will remain for about 2-6 weeks depending on how you treat your feet. If you go barefooted a lot, it wears off quickly, if you pamper it, it might last 2 months. The skin on the bottom of the foot sheds faster than other body parts causing the tattoo to grow out quickly. I have a cat on the bottom of my foot that I have to redo every 2 weeks.

i think that havein a tat on the sole of your foot is wicked that way it is just for you and show you didnt just get a tat to show off to everyone

You can do the area right above the achillies tendon on the back of your leg, You can do the arch of your foot( that’s where my next tattoo will be). Also I have a tattoo on the top of my shoulder like near where my bra strap would be. Also my sister has one on her hip close to where the top of her pants are. Umm that’s all I can think of just make sure you can live with what and where you get it. Much luck.

working with a fantastic artist He always reminded people to remember what their profession or future profession might be and to get one in places where it wont stretch in the future EX: on you butt in 30 yrs pooh bear will only be feet and ears

You can shave your head and get it tattooed. It’ll hurt, though, because that needle will be in contact with your skull, and hardly any soft tissue up there.
Of course you’ll have to sacrifice your hair for a while, but it grows back (and it will despite what you may have heard about hair not growing back on a tattooed head).

behind your ear thats real rare but an even rare place is on the inside of your lip !!! thats were im goin to get mine wen i hit 18 !!

I got my tattoo on my upper outer thigh. I can show it if I want while wearing shorts, but it also covered if need be!

right above the part on ur hand where ur thunb and first finger meet but like ion ur hand andget likea little heart of a small name or something small like that or you could get one right below ur jaw line idk im just thinking

I have one on the back of my neck up by my hairline. This way when I don’t want anyone to see it I just keep my hair down that day and I can pull it up when I want to show it off. My friend has one that goes around her belly button, and one on the inside of her thigh. Another friend has one on her toe, i guess it is a permanent toe ring. Have a great one!!

There is only so much real estate on your body and it’s all been done before. If you are excluding the private parts then sorry, I’ve seen it all. Behind the ear is not as uncommon as you think. The inside lip is becoming common and from what many have said, those do not last long at all. Big waste of money. Head – sorry, seen plenty of those as well.
Let’s face it – what else is left? Just put it somewhere where whatever the design you have chosen will look good. Who cares what others have or think?
